About

Hi there! I’m a dentist, wife, mom of triplets, and owner of Solstice Dental and Aesthetics, an eco-friendly dental clinic located in Louisville, KY. But, honestly, I’d prefer you just Call Me Krysta.

I was raised in rural Kentucky and I’ve been a dentist since 2010. I’ve struggled with infertility, battled through time as a NICU mom, and found peace on a yoga mat. As a dentist, I’ve dedicated years of my practice to at-risk children and adults with developmental disabilities. I’ve also served as a dentist in the U.S. Air Force.

While my children were very small, I became hyper-aware of all of the chemicals and additives that were present in products we used every day. With three medically fragile premature babies, I felt I couldn’t be too careful. We cloth-diapered, edited our cleaning and hygiene products, and began focusing on recycling and diminishing waste.

When the kids were a year old, I went back to school to get an MBA. After a year and a half staying at home with my kids, working part-time, and being a full time student, I took a leap of faith and started my dental practice. It was intense. I wasn’t ready. But I learned.

I discovered minimalism in an effort to stay sane and cultivate peace in our busy home. I used a bullet journal to balance work and home obligations. I started keeping a capsule wardrobe to avoid decision fatigue. I began filling that wardrobe with pieces that were sustainably and ethically produced or secondhand. We’ll talk about all of these things here.

We’ll also talk about some of the tough stuff. Like raising a children in a hyper-digital world, dealing with infertility, and how to create a business that actually supports the vision you have for your life.

Don’t worry, though. We’ll pepper in some fun.

I know there are so many of us struggling to balance everything. Wanting to feel whole when there are so many pieces to our lives. I will share the tips and tricks that I’ve learned to tame the chaos and balance work and home life. And if we support one another, maybe we can feel just a little bit more in control of this crazy, beautiful life.
